Paper, a medium that records and reflects identity, is often neglected as an object that embodies versatile identity. By manipulating paper and rendering paper in a process-oriented manner, I hope to express the diverse interpretations of paper’s identity. Intentional ambiguity is created by the abstracted inkwork to draw parallel between the grandeur of ancient Chinese landscape painting and modern abstraction of paper as an item.
